Freewave ZumLink™ Industrial IoT Radios

The ZumLink™ platform is a critical component of FreeWave’s Industrial IoT communications technology.  They are extremely rugged, and provide long-range communications with low-power requirements for deployment in any remote environment. As your IIoT needs evolve, the ZumLink family of products is ready for the future, with software upgradability to FreeWave’s IQ application environment – a Linux-based platform that can be used for development and deployment of industrial applications.

The ZumLink radios operate within the 900MHz unlicensed frequency band, utilizing frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, and provide the same long-range communications that you have come to rely on from FreeWave (up to 97 km with clear line of sight).

Low power (335mA transmit, 145mA receive at 12V), high levels of security (SSH, SNMP, 128 and 256 bit AES counter mode encryption), Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location certification, and operating temperatures of -40°C to +75°C are some of the key features of this family of products – intended for deployment in any extreme environment.
